With the aim of implementing, through civil initiatives, the resolutions adopted at the 10th Transport Council held at the Haliç Congress Center, located at the heart of Eurasia, the Air Transportation Research Institute was established in 2016 pursuant to Article 65 of the Articles of Association of the Aviation Safety Institution Association, dated 29 January 2013 and numbered B.05.0.DBD.4.06.04-477.01.02.02-3358, thereby laying the institutional foundations of the founding vision of the International Science and Technology University (ISTU).
Pursuant to the resolution adopted by the Board of Directors for the purpose of reorganizing this process towards higher education services, the organization was restructured in 2019 as the International Students Institute, and its activities continued under the identity of a sectoral institutional body. In the subsequent years, with the objective of restructuring the capabilities and institutional capacity developed in the field of higher education, the International Science and Technology University (ISTU) acquired registered regional legal entities operating in the higher education sector, and the institution was reorganized accordingly.
Through this transformation, ISTU established a broad and high-capacity institutional network carrying out official activities across Europe, Asia, Eurasia, Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula. As the final stage of this institutional development, the International Science and Technology Consortium, structured as the supreme governing authority of the four strong regional legal entities operating under ISTU, was officially established in Geneva, Switzerland, and its incorporation process was completed upon publication in the State Trade Registry Gazette.
Today, ISTU has become the world's most powerful fifth-generation higher education institution and a global provider of higher education services through its advanced technological infrastructure, integrated service automation systems, extensive academic capacity, highly qualified human resources, 180 scientific publications produced during the past two years, global partnerships, international accreditations and affiliations, its position in global industrial rankings, research centers, affiliated service organizations, and extensive operational activities.
